The expert internal medicine specialists offer physicals to keep you healthy, detect illnesses, injuries, or diseases, or help you manage an ongoing disease to reduce the risk of complications.

What happens during annual physicals?

During annual physical exams at Maryland Medical First P.A., friendly staff members greet you and may complete the following:

Vital sign check

Your specialist checks your pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and other vital signs to screen you for illnesses and diseases.

Medical history review

During a medical history review, your provider discusses past diagnoses, medications you might take, symptoms, and concerns you may have about your health and wellness.

Physical examination

In women, they offer pelvic exams and Pap tests to screen for signs of cervical cancer. Maryland Medical First P.A. specialists provide prostate exams for men and sexually transmitted disease (STD) screening and treatment for men and women.

Diagnostic testing
